Easter dinner

I have not heard from my mother since my father passed away. And today I get a text
Easter dinner is at 1
Don't be late
Don't be early
Your children are to wear Chiefs Superbowl championship shirts and black pants
Your daughter should be encouraged to leave her silly backpack at home
Your boy will be calm and quiet
Your daughter is of course to old to get a Easter basket and hunt for eggs, let her know
It will be warm you will stay outside as to not embarrass me with your tics or whatever they call them.
Don't bring any cigars over either. They smell

As exciting as this sounds we will be spending Easter at Joel's grandma's house.
Darn the luck

Excellent decision, and outstanding parenting skills in protecting your children from people who aren't positive role models. (I had other words to use, but didn't want to be offensive to your mother)

My personal parenting skills: No one tells me how to raise my son, and anyone wanting to put conditions on my son won't be in his life. I'm his father and I set the conditions and rules, and theirs don't match mine, they can stay out of our lives.
