honestly it is not worth it. I went last year with my grandkids--so expensive, long lines for rides, not worth it. Go to the beach or a cheaper place with a pool or water slide instead!! In one full day we ended up going on a total of four rides.

Disney never had any appeal to me even as a kid in the 1970's and 80's. My parents divorced in 1980 so an overseas holiday would not compute. Still doesn't now in 2026. My 8 yo hasn't said she has a desire to go to Disneyland. She has a passport but I don't.

Yes, yes it is! Our tickets for the 3 of us cost me $5000 CAD for 10 days (6 at Disney parks & 4 at Universal parks)

For a family of 5 coming from the UK,it would cost around 10-15k for a two week Disney holiday stay...even Disneyland Paris would cost about 3k Inc spending just for a few day's!

@HotPizza71 AIrfares from Australia to the US would kill it, but plenty of families flushed with cash do go there. I guess for Aussie's it'd be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, whereas for people in the US it's easy to get to a Disney theme park relatively speaking and they can go as often as they like.
Doesn't surprise me. Everything is insanely overpriced.
