For Christmas, my sister gave Desmond and I a framed picture of us together taken before my health issues
Taken when we were in our mid-20s at one of my sister’s parties. I look a bit drunk in the picture, but we’re the only two people in that frame. I’ve never cared for having my picture taken, but after health problems destroyed my face, I wish I had more pics of myself before then. We had known each other for years but only started being romantically involved last year, long after my health issues back in 2017. Since then, I really wish I had a photo of us together back when I still normal and now I finally do.
I didn’t think any pics of us together from back then that even existed, least of all one of just me and him together. But my sister said she found it on a really old Instagram post from one of her friends. I must’ve been drunk in that shot, because I don’t remember that pic being taken and would only be comfortable with having my picture taken if I was inebriated, lol. Anyway, I’m going to have to thank that friend of hers for taking it now.
I absolutely love it. So much, I had to cry into my sister for a bit after she gave it to me. Desmond was sure to give her a big hug too. This has to be the most precious gift I’ve ever received, period.
