I don't think embracing the sadder side of Christmas is a bad thing

To feel something is better than nothing. Being able to bounce back makes the joy shine brighter.

If you are of the kind looking into the forest this year, I am too. I wish you well and warmth this holiday season. Next year I hope we both see past it.

I don't see it as a bad thing either. The fact that we are here to embrace Christmas and any or all of its sides is a gift and a testament to the will to endure. Sharing Christmas with family and friends, whether online or irl is the important thing for me.
