Christmas time leaves me with unhappy feelings moreso than happy ones most years

When we were kids, christmas was fun. As adults, it ranges from boring to stressful.
People act extra 4ssholish around the holidays. Cr4ppy christmas music on repeat at the stores.
OH and at work, companies think it is hilarious to do firings and lay-offs soon before christmas. To someone trying to afford christmas, it is stressful. To the company, they dance around and giggle like little kids when the get to fire or lay off.
Then a week later it is new years. Companies use new years as an excuse to jack up prices for customers and also impose new rules on employees.
It doesn't do any good to have "Christmas spirit" because the world will just ruin it anyways.
