@JoyfulSilence And on a more serious note, I agree...with how awful my sister feels.I constantly pray and hope for a cure for diabetes🙁

I am keeping my type 2 under control with drugs and diet, but I think the dose on the drug could still be raised, and of course I could diet, exercise, lose weight, eat better, etc. I am so lazy and like fatty foods. At least I cut out dessert.

Yet it might be too late for my feet. They may be numb for life. I have not asked about treatment, though. I am at a point where I just live with changes and do not want more treatments and doctors. I already am seeing three, regularly. One to get drugs, one because they did not like the look of my colon, and another for my eyes. Going blind seems the most serious. I do not think I will lose any toes, yet.

Sigh.

@JoyfulSilence That's really good you cut out sweet s...those are so hard to cut out. Unfortunately we're learning there is no true treatment for neuropathy that will always help😕 Theres creams and different medications but often they really don't fully help the pain or numbness. I think it would be such a radical feat if a scientist could finally figure out either a way to eliminate the horrible numb feeling of dying nerves, or to learn to regrow nerves completely.

Regrowing nerves would be awesome!

Think of all those paralyzed people!
