Far From Being A Bah Humbug

And, with so many daughters - 6 - of varying ages, Christmas is something that we as a family do thoroughly enjoy, however it does seems a bit mad at the moment that people are putting up trees and things.

It's still November. A tad early.

1st of December? That's when we attack that Christmas tree, start with the music - Mariah Carey's first Christmas album is a must. A classic! - whilst we do so.

Trying to keep that magic going is a lot of hard work, both for Santa (?!?) and for parents - and I always think less of a run up to the big day helps to keep that excitement and enthusiasm going into the big day itself.

It's always a loud, foody, drinky, gamey, fun time that we have (the wife is tea total) and I love it.

But let's just pick the right time to start, eh?

I go the same. Ollie's family are a late December - 20th - type. We'll put it up mid December in our house.

My rules! Lol!

Our tree goes up usually around December 10. I always get burned out if we start to early.
@Amy78 EXACTLY

Give each holiday it's time, celebrate its season...

Don't start Christmas in August!

@SomeMichGuy we have everything up until new year’s day and then it all comes down.
@Amy78 Makes sense, or even 12 days of Christmas (through 4 Jan).

For me, lingering Christmas decorations are easier to take than starting to have them in Oct or pre-Thanksgiving November.

Just get them down by 31 Jan. lol

Far too early to start. It's not fair on the children.
