@pdockal Everyone brings something, but a meal for 40 some takes a lot of prep and work.

I would skip Christmas this year if I could. I have my two grandchildren to think about, however.
But, I say do what you want to do, and what works for you.

@Justmeraeagain I think I will. Yes, grandkids. Can't skip it here either.
INDEED!!! DO IT! 🤭 Give yourself a much deserved break. The next year they'll appreciate you all the more. 😂 It's the truth. Happy holidays to you and yours! Have a ball!

@LadyGrace Thanks. I believe I will. 😊

I’d probably slack off and just buy each a bottle of decent wine and put it in a Christmasy wine wrapper. It’d be more money, but I’d rationalize it because I’m buying my free time back.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
The grandkids are too young for the wine. But I could indeed buy a bottle for myself!

@LadyBronte if you like wine, like trying new wines, and have access to a Costco that sells wines, gontyerevasao and pick up this year's wines around the world carton of 24 split bottles. They are still selling it for $99 USD! We buy a carton for my son and daughter in law as well as ourselves.

You'll be there whether or not your homemade goodies will be or not. That would be good enough for me.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@rinkydinkydoink Indeed!
tobynshorty · 51-55, F
I have done that and it always turned out well.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@tobynshorty I think it will . :)

LadyBronte · 61-69, F
