I wondered about a nice pen as she writes regularly to people.
Trouble with that is it's messy having ink refill replacements and once they go out of production....

@Picklebobble2 yeah, I tend to prefer digital books, but sometimes physical is the only way to go. harder for digital books as gifts.

@dirge I bought her a Kindle years ago but she said the background lighting used to give her a headache if she read for more than a few minutes

Won't upgrade her phone.
Doesn't want to download anything digital since it often requires subscription and she doesn't think she'd use it to make the expense worthwhile...which is probably true.
