Do you feel the magic of Christmas?

My kids hide in their rooms, playing video games. Family all moved away. Nobody comes to visit anymore. People say Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays, but it seems like the magic is long gone.
It's like waiting for your ride on the roller coaster, everyone gets in line, some are excited, but most have been around the block enough times to know it's not that big of a thrill anymore. Then Christmas day comes and you open a few gifts (get on the roller coaster) and half an hour later it's over, with just a mess of paper and cardboard left to recycle, and some bills to repay.
I think Boxing Day is more exciting honestly.

You need to get with some more positive groups!

@fanuc2013 You would think the Christmas group would be pretty positive, but nope.

I try to make things fun, baking cookies, candles, a beautiful tree from thanksgiving to January 10th, Christmas music, and maybe an old fashion movie like What a wonderful life. Make it cozy for your family!😊
As children grow it can seem that way . There is a little magic there . I enjoy seeing christmas lights ..baking and cooking ..I enjoy doing this for others . For me the holidays means something different
