Should I get therapist Christmas gift?

I was thinking something small...I got winter gloves and a few chocolate for a previous therapist a couple years ago. However, I've only been with my new therapist about a month now. At first she kept asking many questions about my previous therapy and if she could even help me, which made me feel shame, even though I know maybe she didn't intend that. But our last session we started to delve into my self esteem and she was compassionate and didn't just nod like most do. Should I get her small gift?

Maybe she was just trying to understand what you got out of it? What helped and didn’t help, maybe a small gift would be appreciated. 😌

I get gifts from clients I’ve only met couple of times. It always makes me feel appreciated.

I’m on the receiving end of gifts a lot of from clients and I don’t see the need for it. I do appreciate it, but I would rather they spent their money on someone that was closer to them. I don’t need the gifts.

I don't think you need to get any kind of healthcare provider a gift. 🤷‍♀

I don’t get my therapists gifts.
You pay her for therapy, unless you really like her a lot, I don't think I would bother

If you value her input a small gift wont harm anyone tbh
Its a nice thing to-do

I don't remember who it was on here and she asked the same question your asking, and everyone told her to do it, and she posted back saying she's glad she did ans everyone loved it and thanked her, said it made herself feel good
