How much would you say is an appropriate amount to spend on Christmas

Please don't answer for anyone else than the honest truth.

I feel like every year I go completely broke buying my kids Christmas and then my parents act like I don't do enough and then my son's family is telling me I over did it and they never got that many gifts on Christmas

Speaking from experience I can say that when you start seeing faces on your friends and family that you clearly over spent, and now they feel obligated - that's too much.

On the other hand, when you see a genuine smile and wrinkles around the nose on the giftee indicating you clearly thought about them and listened to what they really want - [i]the price is right! [/i]👍
