First Christmas in my house

This year I spent Christmas in my own house after the divorce. A far cry from last year since I was forced to be in another town while the process was being handled by the lawyers.

There was a time that I didnt want to deal with Christmas since this house is where we as a family spent 19 years at. That changed! I decorated the house inside and out and started over.

All in all it was a wonderful Christmas!

It's a process we go through after a divorce, sometimes, and for some, it's really hard, but it sounds as if you are making the best of it. That's a win for you!

@Ontheroad With all of the memories, especially while my two kids were growing up, it was difficult. A lot of flashbacks. I looked at it from the reality perspective that they're now out on their own and would've been coming over from their respective houses for Christmas anyway. I suppose that empty nest part of life was never really experienced.

I feel at peace.
