@jackjjackson I don't like the term "woke.". But, if it means that I am aware of changes in social norms, and in this case i am concerned the lyrics more than suggest a seduction of a week man, even using alcohol in the process, then that is what I am.

@jackjjackson You make me proud to be called that! I don't see how you can say that being aware of the proper social situation is Stalinist, he slaughtered thousands to make them obey his desires. But if it makes you feel good to attack me for being aware of how things are offensive, so be it.

Leave out the slaughtering part however the desire to control the thoughts of the masses is approved by you, worked on you and you think is should be applied to others no matter the thought attempted to be controlled. If I was writing that song today would I use those words? Of course not. It would hurt sales and set a bad example for my kids. Do I demand history be changed? Nope. @jackjjackson You are incorrigible, first of all, the term "woke" wasn't even invented back when the song was first published and some felt the lyrics were not good, second, any attempt to use more suitable lyrics is NOT re-writing history!
