What is the longest that you've ever spent on a project and what was it?

How did it turn out?
When I was a teen, I once spent one whole year on a needlework for my mother. She loved medieval stuff and I did a large needlework picture of a wizard. It was very complex, which is why it took months, and I spent almost all night on Christmas Eve hurrying up and getting the small details done.
It was definitely worth it in the end though, because my mom LOVED it to bits. She was so proud of me and would show everyone who came over!

It was opening a refuge for battered women in my home town..spent months lobbying our council for abandoned disused empty properties..then getting various organisations behind us, fund raising, donations, getting the word out, then registering as a charity..it took about 14 months in planning..that was in 94..but its still running today after I handed it over when I moved county's in 2000..

A couple of years writing recording etc for a solo self produced cd release.
How about 5 years to build a house?

Oh yes! A house is always a work in progress!
I never built one, but my husband and I renovated the one that we are living in now and it was a lot of hard work.
It still is. There is always something that needs doing! 😁
