Have you given any thought full gifts lately?

Last week I started wondering what I should get my Grand daughter for her birthday. She is now at the age were she isn't into toys or crafts so much. I was thinking of getting her a gift card for the movie theatre and she could take her friend to watch a movie - but then I thought - no way there might be boys there.
I wound up getting her a gift card to have her nails done at a nail spa (I made sure it was OK with her mom first). I think she will really like it and then I will get to put another notch in my Worlds Greatest Granddad coffee cup. Cheers and happy weekend!

Timing is everything. My twin granddaughters were fourteen yesterday. Last year as they formally became teenagers I deliberately switched to giving them actual cash, with an explanation in the card that they should make the final decision on how it was to be spent, no matter what their parents thought. It went over so well with them I repeated this year. The best you can give a teenager is autonomy..😷
