Very Thankful tonight

Last Christmas eve, I was rear ended and have had months of chronic whiplash pain. Fast forward nearly a year to Thanksgiving eve tonight. I was driving home with my sister from a couple stores and BAM!!! Some giant, huge THING came flying on my windshield! We still don't know what it was but it was huge and heavy, then went flying off. Thank God I wasn't going fast, I was so lucky it didn't smash my windshield.

But my stomach seized as I jammed on the brakes. Just instant seizing of my stomach muscles. I'm sure the person behind me saw me swerve, and I was in shock so going maybe 20 mph. They then flash their lights at me, and honk as they turn off. To think how MEAN some people are, they had no idea what had just happened and thought I was going slow , for fun??? It's a sad world out there to HONK at someone for slowing down for one freaking minute.
I'm very thankful tonight this incident wasn't worse. 🥺

This week I was on a highway going fast at night and hit something loudly on my right side. I slowed and swerved a bit after, but just out shock and fright. I still had control, and felt no tire flat or wobble. When I got home my tire felt OK.

Yesterday I got a tire rotation, and today walked around feeling the tires. There was one tire which seems to have a slow leak. I keep pumping it up about every two weeks. But now I do not know where it is. But it was the same tire that had hit that thing loudly.

Today it was sunny, and I noticed a piece of my front right mud guard was missing. Like a crocodile had taken a bite of it. It is plastic and not even a necessary part. It is an add-on but normally comes factory-installed so I have no choice but to accept it and pay for it.

I wonder if that loud thing took a bite out of my mud guard. I wonder if I should replace it before I trade in my car someday.

I just don't want a flat. I had to change one once and it was not easy. But I also could call a truck.

@JoyfulSilence I keep a can of Fix A Flat with me..I hope it does work if ever needed. It was about $15 bucks or so. Or, do you have AAA? They'll change a flat, if you have a spare .

@Coralmist

I do not have any of that.

I have emergency roadside assistance with my insurance. They came once when my car would not start and gave me a jump!

The one time I changed a flat was when my car was parked at my apartment. Still was a pain.
