Used to. Not anymore. Not since the flag has been co-opted by extremists and faux-patriots. Strange to say but I'm an American and want nothing to do with what the flag now symbolizes. That's their America. Not mine.

@Ynotisay That's exactly why I fly it. To show that some of us love America and are not extremists or faux-patriots who might storm the Capitol.

@exexec And I have respect for that. But I'm not sure the idea of a REAL American flying a flag is the takeaway any more. But good for you to raise it with the proper intentions. I think folks like you are becoming more rare so it's good to see.

@Ynotisay Flags have been useful to identify the allegiance of combatants in war, and teams in international sports. I don't think they have any other morally legitimate use.
