Get my mom Mother's day gift?

Last year I got her a bakery treat and one small thing. I used to get more gifts years ago...once I got her flowers and she threw them down and said "Why waste your money? I don't like flowers" it was crushing. She has been horrible to me my entire life...ridiculing, tormenting, mocking and has joked about killing me. How she could never get away with that but people on tv can.
She has helped me occasionally if I needed money and that is where I feel guilt. Do I get her something small because of that? (I would be homeless otherwise. But...she really is such a appalling abusive narcissist. )
