This trademark started life as an Easter cartoon.
Funnily enough I had this boiler (a Vaillant) put in one Easter!

@LordShadowfire Has been since the 19th century! The guy who founded the company was looking for an idea for a logo when he saw a cartoon in the paper one Easter. He promptly bought the rights and used it as a logo. It survives in stylised form as a hare's head in an egg shape.
