@Zeusdelight Living in America is a blessing all of it's own.
What one does with the opportunity is on them.

Juneteenth was a big deal - can you imagine? Having lived as a slave - and then suddenly be free? Truly something to celebrate. Just not for the kids in this story.

@Budwick I think it is an extremely easy thing to say "what one does with an opportunity is on them" when some people do not even get an opportunity.

It is like me complaining about the cold the other day, then reading about the people who were living without shelter in my own city. I needed to give myself a slap, see how lucky I am and help those who are not.

Since then blacks have become rather entitled - a victim class - slaves again this time to democrats.

The phrase "Talent is everywhere, opportunity is not" - is so widely distributed - word for word - it's obviously part of the plan to disfranchise people of color. You have bought into the hype. I'm not saying it's easy for anyone to go from nothing to comfortable life. But EVERYONE living comfortably now started in the same place. Most didn't have endless assaults on our brains telling us we could never make a go of it.

But - Zeus - if you have given up / given in and want to remain angry, without prospects - you go boy! That leaves one more possible door of opportunity for someone else to open.

Were you ever a minority in a workplace or educational setting?

How many black or brown people do you have in your contact list on your phone?
