Chicago has always had issues. But it stems from their government allowing this type of behavior. Not the holiday.

All the years Juneteenth was celebrated only in Texas before it became a federal holiday, none of these shootings happened. People really need to look at history more in depth before jumping the gun and declaring these holidays federal. Especially when it comes to The Civil War.

And your point is, what? Black people are ungrateful that they choose to spend a federal holiday dedicated to them like this...?

If that's what it's about, then where are all the other incidents? Or did the racists in the US finally round all the black people up and herd them into some projects near Crenshaw?
