@Haniazed is there a time of year that is best for visiting?

@JaneDoe23 I would say early summer because there is a creek that flows through the sand from the melted snow. The sand temp can get pretty hot in late summer like when I went. At noon, you couldn’t walk barefooted.

@Haniazed thanks. This summer has been so damn hot that I haven't wanted to go outside as much. I can't wait for the cooler weather.

It's in the mountains, it's not fancy or overstated, but it beautiful. Feels like being truly IN nature. The cabins are a bit rustic and romantic, or were, I haven't been for quite some time now.

@anythingoes477 Durango was a cool town. They had a motorcycle rally when we visited…shit load of bikes.

@Haniazed Been there..done that. ;-) Then we rode the Million Dollar Highway up to the Uncompahgre Plateau to Telluride. That is a really cool little town. Not sure how much of the Uncompahgre Plateau is still unspoiled. Been-A-Dick Donnie opened that all up to drilling and mining when he was in. Haven't been back to see how badly that area has been raped since he did that.
