Do you never ever get electricity shut down where you live at?

The way people talk about the energy crisis make it sound like they will die without it.

Rarely. It happens when the grid is stressed during heat waves or during maintenance. One time it went down during a storm, but I live in an area that doesn't normally get severe weather. I admit that I'm not used to power outages. The longest I've been without it was 17 hours.

@SW-User stressed by the ac I bet. Some nerd needs make better ones that consume less energy .

@Miram It's remarkable how little AC technology has changed since it was invented. Air conditioners are still inefficient, noisy, power-draining devices. There has to be some better cooling tech out there!
