I don't get it when people say you only need to see one therapist

Because if you want change then you only need one...?

I've heard people say this on the internet from time to time, or something along those lines,

But yeah, it doesn't sit right with me because you get other professionals in other fields who aren't really professionals... If you know what I mean...?

Like, someone likened a therapist to a mechanic,

But I know a lot of mechanics who call themselves professionals but they actually suck and their customer service and people skills are pretty poor.

Kinda not great for business tbh 😅
If you only have one issue, you do indeed only need one therapist who is good for that. But most problems come from a combination of causes, and even if you only have one, it may take several tries to find the right help for that. It's technically true for some people, but an oversimplified statement.

Mine went to the trash. She was way too serious as of acting instead of helping me.

My therapist will neither change my oil nor rotate my tires.
