The shops are only shut for 1 day people?!

The State Premier announced, shops will be shut on public holidays. Its the Queens Birthday on Monday/today. I needed batteries last night and the shop was non left with the shelves near empty with a hundred MFers with a fortnights shopping, rushing to the register.
This is a common occurrence the day before public holidays. Why? You just need fresh Milk and Bread. Nachos, dip and chocolate. What's wrong with people?
