I Used To Love People And loved Meeting Different People .

I used to love travelling and meeting people of all classes and races , but sadly over the years I have begun to dislike the human race more and more . The older I get people seem to be losing all the old fashioned standards and decency etc .
Any sort of charity seems to be seen as a weakness to be taken advantage of and kindness something to be abused .
People seem to be getting more and more selfish , self centred and caring and neighbourly love a thing of the past .
Gone are the years when you knew everyone on your street or village and you knew you could knock on any of those doors and never be turned away . When it was like having an extended family , there when ever you needed them . Gone are the days when several generations lived together and no matter what family was family and you could relly on each other no matter what . I tried to bring it back with my family sadly I seemed to have failed as they have drifted apart , even the ex and I are separated . I dont know where it all went wrong but it saddens me and I am so glad I wont be arround much longer and really have no wish to live a long life . I think if any animal should go extinct its humans as we seem to be not only our own worst enemy but the earths worst enemy and we seem to have lost what we are meant to stand for . Some say its because we are no longer god fearing people but I think its alot more than that and its so sad that the human race seems to have lost its way . Hopefully someday if not in my life time before we wipe ourselves and the earth out we turn things around , but to be honest I think it is already to late .

It is never too late, bud. I still harbour hope for this fine earth and all the people on it. Perhaps some day, when we realize the importance of preserving universal energy through our own actions and heart, humankind will make a change.

@SW-User I do hope so .

I very much doubt there was ever any "Golden Age" and I welcome the fact that family members now can be independent (well, as far as economics etc. allow).

Even so I agree fully with your main point about diminishing decency.

Mankind won't make itself "extinct" but It is hard to see any but a very bleak future for much of the world by the end of the 21C.

When I look to the future all I see is a divided world controlled by the haves.
There will be mass hunger and homelessness.
Not a pleasant outlook and like yourself, I am glad I will not be around to see the total degradation of society.

@Gusman If I were younger I certainly wouldn't bring kids into this world nowadays. It's highly unlikely that they would know the good life.
