Telling people that being rich or having more money will not help them with their depression is a lie.
I'll revise my current opinion when I find that panel of mental health professionals and extensive clinical trials which advocate extreme poverty as a means of treating depression,
Money may not cure depression but it certainly can buy one enough time, opportunity, freedom, and tools to discover what might.
Cut the bull crap.

@Tonyv That's really not the point that's basically what poor people say when a rich person commits suicide. When poor people kill themselves we rarely hear about them anyway.
@Tonyv and his situation would have been even worse if he were poor. She’s not saying bad things don’t happen to people with money, but poverty will definitely make it worse.
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether @JustGoneNow i am going to give up on the entirety of the thread at this point. Thanks guys for explaining, I don't really want to engage after the last one even if it is an honest misreading.
@Tonyv exceptions aren't the rule and the general rule is that dealing with health and mental issues is a lot harder when one is poor and lacks resources
@Tonyv this just goes to show what mentally ill people go thru. "You cant be sad, youre rich". Telling peiple they are to wealthy, popular, hot, sexy, attractive, fit, privilaged to feel bad just makes the problem worse.
The same way pretty qomen dont want to be seen as a sex object that coukd get anything she wants thru fucking, rich people dont want to be seen as walking wallets that often feel they have to buy afection.
Stop discrediting peoples depression just cause in your OPINION they are well off in this that or the other way. Saying rich people dont have it as bad off is just you projecting what you think you need to be happy. Pretty sure some of the happuest care free people out there are the traveling hippies qith their life savings in their picket and every pososetuon they own in their backpack.
@Tonyv so you guys just dont want to admit your wrong? Yall really never heard the phrase money cant buy you happiness? Whatever its like talking to a wall, go ahead and think a fat bank account just magiclly cures depression.
@Tonyv you are literally commenting to something that she didn’t say. You can either re-read what she DID say, or you can just blather on about your nonsense. I’m not gonna correct your poor reading and comprehension skills.
@Tonyv you keep acting as if we are saying money magically cures depression
You just said this:
Yall really never heard the phrase money cant buy you happiness? Whatever its like talking to a wall, go ahead and think a fat bank account just magiclly cures depression.
Why should we go ahead and think that when no one is saying that?
Ironically, engaging with you is like talking to a wall ffs.
@deadgerbil thats what tou said, you seem to think money helps, it dosent. You can get therapy and counseling for free, so having mote money dosent give you any advantage.
Im starting to think youre bored and just want to argue cause there is nothing money can do to help you out of depression
@Tonyv you assume free services offer the same quality as ones you pay for
Money opens the door to so many different resources that an impoverished person can't gain access to
Additionally, you conflate the increased resources money affords to people with money magically curing depression, which it doesn't. You are saying that's our argument because you're either dishonest or very stupid
