Oh gawd. I feel serious thoughts coming on ... make them go away. Too late -
Somebody once told me "Politics isn't a science, it's not even a superstition. It's an addiction, and if you stay hooked for too long it kills you. But first you go crazy."
The longer I'm in the world the more I feel like that's true.
Do I care about what happens to me, my neighbors, my town, my country, and the world ? Sure. And I don't expect anyone else to take responsibility for the right or wrong things I do as a human being. But I get tired, really tired and sometimes angry, of hearing so many people preach that politics is the only way to acheive anything positive - Especially when they're trying to sell their partisan junk and pissing on what everyone else thinks or needs.
In my own experience you can do as much or more good in the world by running an honest business, being a caring friend, a loving parent, a respectful neighbor, and allowing people the freedom to find their own way to a better life. And I don't think that means having to pick one side, and then hating everyone else who makes a different choice. The politics we have now lies to everyone about who really are, and everything that actually matters.
So that's where I'm at. Screw the political bullshit where ever it comes from and whoever is putting it out. I want a real life and a better future - not more of this garbage.
Is that so scary? I hope not. I kind of like you ✌️
