I'm done with my latest sewing project yay! A fixed up bikini in size and from halterneck to two shoulder straps and then the left over fabrics that became a pouch for jeweleries. ✨✨I'm thanking myself and my boyfriend for the assistance.
Impressive! If I may ask....did you do it by hand or with a machine? I mended one of my wife's dresses yesterday. It's a very sheer material and a section ripped when it was caught under her wheel chair. It was a tough job because it was kind of shredded. I used to have a singer machine, but really all I do now is mend so I do it all by hand.
Crazy question coming from me, I know, but this is my life now....
@originnone No machine, all hands on! But I'm planning on getting a mini sewing machine because I will keep sew, I can feel it, plus it's in my genes down to my great great grandmother. (Seemstress family)
Wow how sweet of you to fix her dress 👗✨🌹
This fabric was so easy to work with, sheer must be hell!
@SomeMichGuy Yeah I wanna do projects that demands a sewing machine kind of power. Sewing velcro for example. Ever tried put a needle through Velcro? 😂
@Queendragonfly Hmmm...no, but I have sewn some heavy things; you need good needles and thimble or an equivalent for the "meat" of your palm (the muscle associated with your thumb) for, say, sewing heavy canvas or leather by hand.
