Rewatching Barbie Fairytopia and Barbie Fairytopia: Mermaidia, after watching them as a little kid....

Before watching the movie, I remember that the first movie, Barbie Fairytopia, wasn't my favorite. I disliked it for some reason. After watching it again after watching it in childhood, the first thing that had me already disliking the movie, was when Elina (Barbie) came to the thought that she, a wingless fairy, is the one that's supposed to tell one of the fairy guardians about the poison in the air since evil Laverna poisoned the air which resulted in fairies becoming sick and losing their ability to fly. She was so sure that it was her who had to save the faires, like there's no other wingless fairy who could've had defeated evil Laverna.
Throughout the whole movie, she seemed to be reckless. And in the sequel, Barbie Fairytopia: Mermaidia, she's become even more reckless by following a mer-fairy (half-mermaid, half-fairy; has both fairy wings and mermaid tail) that she didn't even know, to where the mer-people (mermaids and mermen) just to help out a guy whom she only met once. Not only did she not show any skepticism, but she full-blown believed what the mer-fairy was telling her. She should have handled that with skepticism. (I think she did, I guess that's why she told her fairy friend to go to Azura if she wasn't back 'til dawn).
Comparing these to her other movies, it seems like in the other movies, she doesn't immediately think she's the main protagonist (which she is).
And at the end of Barbie Fairytopia: Mermaidia, she knew the mermaid guy, Nalu, was in love with his best friend, a blue-haired mermaid, and I was like, 'Girl, you've only met him ONCE'😂
I hadn't rewatched Barbie Fairytopia: Magic of the Rainbow, even though I have probably watched it like three times out of boredom as a kid, maybe that is why I can hardly remember the movie. I do remember owning the DVD, though.
