I'm not sure what is going on in my head

I played a game of 40k on Saturday and I just barely lost. But it's not the game I fell in love with any more, and I'm not sure if this is just me falling completely to nostalgia or if I'm too depressed to enjoy things again. Maybe I've lost my place in things and it's time to call it. Maybe I was just having a bad day.

The rules do change a lot between the editions? I've played a little with my cousin and he said there are like 5 different games in 40K.

@AizyMaiz they can do. I've played 5 different editions of 40k now, and it's gone from casual and narrative to being all about tournaments and competitive play. I'm not into the competitive side of things so I'm just stuck on the sidelines
It was just a bad day dan dont spiral

We all have bad days, slight depression is normal and a part of being human. You're ok, tomorrow is always another day, so keep your chin up.

Sometimes it’s not the game that changes, it’s just where we are mentally and emotionally that makes everything feel a bit flat. That doesn’t mean you’ve lost your love for it or your place in it, it might just mean you’re tired or carrying more than you realise. You don’t have to decide anything right now. Maybe give yourself some space and come back to it when things feel a bit lighter. 🌻

@Sutten I think it's the fact that I want to just be casual and have fun, but the rest of the world is only interested in win at all costs competitive tournament gaming now.
