Thankfully I grew up when there was but one TV station and it signed off at 9 p.m.

Swimming! Two blocks from the city pool and it was an everyday thing.
Model Airplanes! I can still feel the excitement from when I was 7 and saw my rubber-band powered airplane fly in circles for a whole minute.
Building things! club houses, tree houses, crystal radios, a dark room for photo developing.
Bicycling!
Flying kites!
Movies at the movie theater a block away.

Making Pom poms with wool around card or shredded crate paper … I loved the colour yellow back then too ☺️😂💛

I grew up with horses... so..
Horseback riding trips. 😊❤️🐴🐎

Swimming with friends in the river, playing cricket in the narrow lane or football with anything we can kick. One love was visiting our paddy field for muddy rendezvous during the school vacation.

Cycle touring, camping and youth hostelling (A shilling a night then, in Scotland! - loved the community atmosphere)

I used to ride my bike around the cul-de-sac we lived in at night, just riding and thinking. :)

I grew up on a farm and my favourite pass time in the summer was to play farm. I had a little square of dirt I would dig up in the spring and then use my toys tractor, combine, grader, truck to pretend I was farming. One of my greatest challenges was to grade the perfect road.

Swimming, tennis, riding my bike, collecting rubber balls from the vending machines, playing with my bouncy balls, exploring, picnics, spending time outside with my family, going to fun and interesting places, going to the beach, having fun with inflatables and outdoor toys

I was always obsessed with the smell, touch, and look of toys, balls, and inflatables. They smell similar to the inside of a new catalogue. The colors would also excite me

we were really poor. we had to improvise and have imagination. it was a real treat to go to the swimming pool in town. so we played in nature...dolls and paper dolls and comics, etc
