Yet more Warhammer/Horus Heresy stuff
Lately I've been both extremely excited about all the stuff I want to add to my Horus Heresy army, all the lists I want to make for it, and everything else about it. I've also had a kind of laser focus on it, which is weird for me because it rarely happens. And now onto the next army list I have planned, the Stone Gauntlet.
The Stone Gauntlet is a rite of war specific to the Imperial Fists which is built around units with boarding shields - this means Breacher Squads and Phalanx Warders form the core of the detachment, and they get bonuses for being near one another as a literal shield wall. Combine this with Fafnir Rann for some serious brutality!
As it stands, this list will be 1500pts and consist of the following:
- Fafnir Rann
- 2x Phalanx Warder squads, Solarite Power Gauntlet, Artificer Armour, Vexilla
- 2x Breacher squads, Solarite Power Gauntlet, Vexilla
- 2x Deredeo dreadnoughts, Autocannons, Heavy Bolters, Aiolos Missile Launchers
All up the list is 1485, which means I have 15 points that may not be able to be spent. It's annoying, but happens from time to time. Overall though, I'm happy with this list, and already have a good amount of it (Fafnir Rann, a Phalanx Warder squad, and both Deredeos) - as ever it's just a case of waiting to see if plastic Breachers come out.
