Wing Chun & Jeet Kune Do

I've been involved in martial arts since I was 10 years old. The usual story; getting bullied and fighting back - quite literally!

It's been fun; it's been hard work. Broke a few nails, broke a few boards.

The great thing about exercise is that it takes you out of yourself for that period of time, or more to the point, takes you within yourself. The outside world is silent and all you can hear are your thoughts and feelings, both negative and positive.

It's you competing against you...and that's what I love about it the most.

Plus, of course, getting fit, agile, powerful and trim.

All good things, especially that zen like becoming what you're doing, not thinking, reacting

@ozgirl512 Oh, absolutely. Being in the moment is very underrated. many people just don't get it, sadly, but when you do. Phew! It's addictive...and exciting!

You do any martial arts?
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@AmberDuponte no i don't... But I've seen it in other things ... If you want to read a real trippy book, hunt down zen and the art of archery

@ozgirl512 Oh good. I'll check that out. Thanks for the tip.
Ooph, I've always been interested in learning Jeet Kune Do in the future. Seems so cool haha.

@LookingForSomethingNew It is. You should try it! I think, these days, they do virtual classes too.
