Is learning to drive manual hard?

I've seen a few videos of it. It doesnt look too bad. I want to learn but I'm not sure how long it will take.

Get a cheap car or a rental. Go to an empty car park. Practise starting from a standstill hundreds of times using just the clutch. No accelerator, just clutch. Eventually you won't stall it and it won't jump. Then worry about gear changes, that bit will come naturally once you've nailed the clutch
