I have a cholesteatoma in my left ear. I have surgery to remove it next Tuesday. I’ve already had one removed from my right ear. It doesn’t really cause me any severe problems now but surgery is the only way to remove it, there’s no medicine that can cure it. If I left it it would eat away at my hearing bones and facial nerves and finally into my brain. So I have no choice, I have to do it

@GLITTER Good luck with the surgery 🙏...I hope the recovery is not too bad...

@fun4us2b thanks a lot, the recovery for the right ear was really rough so I’m just expecting the worst but hoping for the best lol

@GLITTER What is a cholesteatoma?
GLITTER · 36-40, F
@Coralmist it’s basically an abnormal growth in the middle ear which causes the growth to eat away at all the hearing bones and nerves around it.
