I'm just going to be straight with you. If you have healthy teeth (no cavities, slightly yellow, maybe a little crooked) please don't get veneers to correct the issue. Consult and figure out other options. Other options, braces, whitening, hygienst clean, resin/composite build up (although you may get staining) Because once you do this...
There's no going back... You could also end up with awful results like this
You can't build up on the filed down teeth, you can only have veneers on them. The first cementing is the best and only most secure fit of the veneer when successful, sometimes they have to file the teeth again to get a better surface to work with. Think of nerves, sensitivity... Pain!
When you're young you want quick fixes... Patience is key. Many people don't understand that this is a lifetime maintainance thing (15 years is the average length of time these can last) The next step after a problem is a bridge, denture or implant.
Implants are roughly a 6 month process if handled correctly...
