My dad's nurse just died last week

Very unexpected. She was 71 but was always on her toes and a caring nurse. I just feel so sad because my dad, who's in a nursing home, said she would always say how she thought I was such a good person. That meant a lot because most other nurses there may say Hello, but rarely talk further like she did.

She'd ask what my dad and I were watching or talk about what was in the news. There was not a clear reason for her passing but her family put in the obituary to donate to Cancer research, so we think perhaps she had it but never said anything. She was caring and kind and we miss her already. I hope her soul is at peace. Thanks for doing so much all the time , J..💓🙁💜

So sad when a gracious soul passes away, particularly one who brought blessing and kindness to you, your father, and others. May she rest in peace.

@Coralmist I rely on daily home health care and treasure my aides. One has been with me for more than a decade and the other for several years. What they do for me is invaluable, so I can appreciate what J did for your dad and you.

@afarcryfrom What stinks is before she passed she was saying how overworked she was, in the job itself and in the hours. But she needed the money. 😟 I wish she could have taken a few weeks off to herself or maybe found a part time gig even for a bit. Life is wonderful and a miracle, but also so fragile..we never know when our time is up. 😔
That is really wonderful that your aids are so helpful. I'm sure they feel how grateful you are🌷
