They are waking him up

They kept him heavily sedated this morning so they could administer a very high dose of antibiotics through his IV. Now they’re preparing to slowly wake him up—just like last time—to help keep him calm and avoid overwhelming him.

The process worked well before, although he stayed pretty loopy for a while and said some pretty funny (and random) things… so we’ll see what we get this time. Maybe I’ll be nice and not share it this round 😄
Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and prayers. I’m still running on about an hour of sleep over the past 48 hours, so I’m pretty exhausted. I’ll share a full update later tonight or in the morning once I’ve had a little rest.

I hope they extend his antibiotics this time to prevent another occurrence. I know he admitted to being scared the last time around
@Cigarguys Niiice
So he is not gonna get hospitalized 😍 just going there for 3 hours and going home? That's marvellous !

@AoNoSora um he is hospitalized. Why do you assume otherwise they are certainly going to monitor him for sure.
@Gibbon
Mhmm
I mean, I thought that since it is not continuous (because usually it is a wide spectrum antibiotic more that once a day), so if it is just once and will only last 03 hours he might go get it. This is just an assumption but a lot of people do that.
If he didn't then it is okay too. He's going to pull through it either ways 🥰🤩
I hope you get some rest Joel :'(
I know it is hard on you
But he is strong and he is going to pull through it. You believe in him right?

Thanks for keeping us updated xx
As far as post-sedation loopiness goes - I once woke up after wisdom tooth extraction, with my mouth bulging with bloody cotton, adhesive residue on my face and hair looking like I’d stuck my finger in an electric socket, mumbling to my husband that I felt sexy.

@Mamapolo2016 he had a lot of confusion when he woke up and he kept asking me and our buddy if he could go home. And if he didn't like the answer he would ask the other person, he did this over and over and apparently our buddy thought it would be funny to tell him that I was the one that wouldn't let him go home so now he says I'm mean.
@Cigarguys Tell your buddy to go pound sand. 😂
@Cigarguys The most dramatic event I’ve seen about people after sedation…

I was in the hospital on my bed when they brought me a roommate. She was put together like a dozen ladies-in-waiting had dressed her and applied her makeup. Jackie Kennedy perfect.

We chatted for a bit and then she changed into a gown, removed her jewelry, and was taken down to surgery.

That was not who came back. I heard the orderlies laughing as they pushed the gurney into the room.

She was using language to shame a sailor. It was rank.

Then she fell asleep again. A while later she woke and looked over at me. “Was it bad?”

I answered something like, “A bit surprising, but nobody got hurt.”

She blushed and shook her head. “I always get that way and I don’t know why.”

I just smiled, but I thought, “I know why. Your subconscious is sick to death of you being perfect!”

She was a nice lady, without chemicals.
Thank you very much for keeping us updated. Continued best wishes to all of you.
