Update on Cigarguy

I just wanted to recap everything for you all. It has been such a long, emotional night. After the ablation, they discovered bleeding and blood going into the sac around his heart, and at one point they were struggling to get it under control.

They had to take him into surgery to find the bleed and repair the defect he has had for years. They were able to repair the defect, thank God, and now even though he is still in surgery, the doctors are finally sounding fairly optimistic.

We know there is still a ways to go, but hearing that has given us some hope to hold onto. Thank you for staying with us through all of this and for all the prayers you have sent up for him.

Add my prayers, for all of you. The last I’d seen was that the ablation was completed.

Maybe after recovery, he will be stronger than before?

Your family has been a beacon of hope for me. Love and light. Of course, that’s not your responsibility, to be my lighthouse. But I deeply appreciate it.

Thank you, Joel, and try to keep us in the loop when you can.

@Mamapolo2016 He had the ablation on Friday, and either he overdid it afterward or something may have been missed, but fluid began building up around his heart. Yesterday he passed out, and I had to call 911. In the ER, they found the fluid around his heart and removed it, but the situation turned critical and he had to go into emergency surgery. He is stable now, and they are watching him very closely.

Thank you for caring about him so much.
@Cigarguy In my opinion, it’s impossible to not care - about all of you.

When I was a child, when our well soured, we found a spring near the slopes of a mountain. It poured pure sweet water with abundance. We filled plastic jugs from it. It was not unusual to see multiple cars in line for the same purpose. An absolute gift.

That’s how I feel about your family. To paraphrase President Kennedy, “Ask not what your family can do for you. Instead, ask what you can do for your family.”

You pour out love and commitment.
