Home from the hospital can’t wait to go to sleep

Got admitted yesterday. Twelve hours hooked up to IV antibiotics I didn’t even see coming. I wasn’t supposed to stay, but my body had other plans. Turns out my antibiotic resistance makes finding something I’m not allergic to a damn challenge.

Kidney stones are no joke — I wouldn’t wish this kind of pain on anyone. The hospital felt heavy. The smell, the energy, the constant beeping — it all just drains you. I slept like shit. My phone died. I felt trapped in a place that somehow manages to suck the life out of you while supposedly saving it.

They had me on morphine for the pain, and I’ll be honest… I miss it. Not just the relief, but the quiet it gave me for a little while.

Now I’m home and completely wiped out. I can’t wait to sleep tonight, though even rest feels like it won’t be enough. It’s exhausting — not just the pain, but the pattern. Another medical issue, another setback. It feels like it never ends
