I Think Hospitals Should Allow Your Partner to Stay With You

Husband has been in the hospital since Friday (this is Wednesday). Congestive heart failure, etc. I've been staying with him. I saw this group and it seemed odd to me, since someone usually says with me when I'm in the hospital and I've been staying with him. The rooms have pullout sofas or recliners or similar temporary beds, with bedding available as needed. I guess this isn't so in all hospitals?

Hospital policy or reason for hospitalization have an effect. If it's very serious, they want as few people in the way as possible.

I think pets should be allowed in for visitation as well.

If it's a semi-private room, loved ones are not allowed to stay the night. Last time I visited someone in a hospital, there were pull out sleeping chairs.
