@SW-User Isn't it semantics to suggest that 'guns are safe' when so many get shot? Each year?

@Valentine Because people don't how to handle them. A gun on its own can't shoot. The person shoots.

@jackson55 Why should this be a question of blame? No-one could say "it is the gun's fault". You allow people to drive a car, but society places limits on this not only for the safety of other drivers, but for them and their supported family members. Would you get rid of all speed limits, and put a steel spike in the centre of the steering wheel? The technology to increase safety on guns is sure to develop; are you really against limiting who may use a firearm?
