I used to drink some water, and follow it up with something I actually liked. Since you're not changing the flavor, you get used to the taste of water, and following it with something good makes it quick and painless.

I don't really know how you can get tips for drinking more water. I mean, the only thing to do is to...drink some water...it's not exactly a difficult concept to understand.

I like mine either very cold, very fizzy, or with ice cubes or lemons slices in. It stops it being boring old water.

@MissingNotes: Nah, I buy it already fizzy. There's one brand that carbonates really heavily. If you drink it too fast, it hurts. But if you drink it slowly, it gives an interesting sensation and it doesn't feel like you're drinking just water.

I know I was the same way as you. An for some reason while dieting I found drinking more water. One of the hardest thing's to do....an yes not gonna lie it does take a bit to get into and used to...but once you do you will be doing it without even thinking
