I was 185 lbs in spring and now i have reached 162 lbs.

23 lbs in a matter of a few months and i am on Losartan. come join me in my search for health.

Hopefully, if i continue to lose one lbs per week, i will be 136 lbs by February 3, 2023...this will put me into the normal weight category

That's great! Congratulations! I am also on Losartan and have been able to lose considerable weight. I'm back to where I was in 2003, 19 years ago. Cutting out sugar was the key for me.
@windinhishair i had some withdrawal from no sugar and i never take it in my drinks so that means i was eating alot of baked crap. my skin got better.

congrats to you....how much did you lose?

@DIABLISS I've lost 55 pounds so far. Sugar was a bit difficult to give up, since it is in many processed foods, but I'm fortunate that I was a vegetarian for many years and am perfectly fine eating vegetables for main meals and snacks. I have a few tweaks to make still, but my blood chemistry has improved dramatically and my blood pressure is down to 115/68.
@windinhishair my blood pressure is also around there. i would like to go off the Losartan. do you think you are going to go off of it?

i would love to say i lost 55 lbs. now i would love to lose thirty more lbs. i don't wish to be thin again. i was a stick person in my twenties.

@DIABLISS I have been talking to my doctor about going off Losartan. I see him again in September so we will make a determination then. I track my blood pressure daily and it was really interesting to watch both the systolic and diastolic readings decrease over time. I think they will go a bit lower and then stabilize. I was also very thin in my teens and twenties and was a competitive long distance runner doing 70-100 miles a week. I won't return to that weight or level of fitness, but that's OK. As long as I'm healthy, that's the goal. And thin people tend to die quickly following adversity in old age, whereas if you have a little more weight, you have a bit of reserve and are more resilient to adverse medical events.

You've shown you can lose weight through your determination and life style changes. Keep going and lose that 30 pounds. You can be there by Christmas!
@windinhishair wow, by Christmas if i were thinner i will be much better off for winter and i can buy new clothes...Wahoo!

@DIABLISS Make it so!
@windinhishair let me know what happens about your Losartan and your doctor. I am very curious to find out how a person goes off that.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@DIABLISS I will. I don't see him until September, so it will be awhile.
@windinhishair I was just discussing Halloween with someone....time flies when you are old.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@DIABLISS Yes, it does, but it sure beats the alternative.
@windinhishair the one where i am not here? hmmm, yikes
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@DIABLISS I am very grateful every day for life.
@windinhishair my life has sucked thru no fault of my own so not so much for me
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@DIABLISS I am sorry for that.
@windinhishair not your fault
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@DIABLISS No, but it still makes me sad.
