Wow!!!! Awesome!
How did you do it?
How did you do it?
@LunarOrbit thank you....i just gave up stuff. I had to stop drinking two years ago and i haven't smoked in years...but when you are obsessive compulsive and give those up, you start to cook and bake more. Then Covid came and that is all i did
So around May 1 i started watching what i ate and i dumped 5 lbs just by writing it down. Then i gave up Sugar. Then i gave up red meat. Then i gave up bread. then i gave up crackers. Then it became easy. i eat mainly vegetable dishes out of my garden and lots of chicken. If i feel extra tired or sluggish, i eat a real meal and then go back to the diet.
Some people would probably lose weight faster but i can't because of my age and being on Losartan. Last diet i tried on Nutrisystem. I lost too fast and whited out while driving. Good luck to you

@LunarOrbit no, at this point i have to talk myself into eating.
for breakfast i have some cereal...usually cream of wheat or oatmeal.
lunch time, i have what ever vegetable thing i have made...eggplant parmesan or ratatouille
then at dinner, i have a big salad or soup...sometimes home made and sometimes professionally made
for snacks, i have fruit or raisins or a yogurt and yes, i cheat when i feel tired or actually hungry but not a big cheat

@DIABLISS Thats great! Did you get more physical as well?
@LunarOrbit because it is the summer i am naturally getting alot of exercise. mowing, gardening, biking, swimming. but all in moderation. in fall i am planning to start an exercise program starting with my original but modified exercise program i did as a young person. it is basically Pilates but we just called it exercise back in the day. i hope i can do it

@DIABLISS Good for you! Looking forward to your updates! ☺️
@LunarOrbit thanks let me know how you are doing

@DIABLISS I’m going to cut out my heavy protein breakfast and try oatmeal and such for breakfast. See if it gives me more energy
Good luck!
Good luck!
@LunarOrbit same to you. What heavy protein breakfast were you having? Oatmeal makes me feel good but it does not give a big boost. maybe you should start by splitting the difference. have oatmeal and an egg.
LunarOrbit · 61-69, M
@DIABLISS 2-3 eggs…a meat…and maybe a cheese. Way too much protein…I know.
I started with oatmeal for breakfast yesterday. We’ll see how it goes over the next couple weeks.

@LunarOrbit take it easy though. a drop in protein can make ya dizzy
LunarOrbit · 61-69, M
@DIABLISS I have a protein snack a couple hours after breaky. :)
@LunarOrbit take care
