Last generation…

I was diagnosed with Shingles today. Then a weird thought hit me. I’m probably part of the last generation where many people can even get Shingles because the Chicken Pox vaccine came along not too long after I had the Chicken Pox.

Yeah. Totally random. I know. 😂

Yes, although just like now, some people refused to be vaccinated back then. Others even had “parties” where they let their kids gather and infect each other. That’s how my cousin was infected, and then I caught it when we were both visiting our grandmother. There’s a shingles vaccine now, too.

@bijouxbroussard I didn’t go to a party to get Chicken Pox. We called it school. Lol. Everyone got it … yes. There is a vaccine for shingles, but they usually recommend it at an older age.
@Dewkissedrose Yes, I had that vaccine when I turned 59.
