I live in Florida, where our "let the children be free" campaign has resulted in more juvenile Covid cases than all 49 other states. So depending on your scale, we're knockin' out of the park.

@Graylight I understand the hysteria over deaths .
I don’t understand the hysteria over cases .
What’s the juvenile death count ? Is it worth all this hysteria ? IDK
Graylight · 51-55, F
@AthrillatheHunt No one knows. Florida stopped reporting COVID-19 deaths by age group to the CDC on July 17, 2020.

True story. Also to be considered are the long-lasting and possibly lifetime complications due to the infection.

@Graylight I’d assume if kids were dying that SOME hospital spokesman would say SOMETHING

They don’t all support the GOV

@AthrillatheHunt There are reports. We hear them. Again, there are no numbers because Florida decided as long as you don't keep records you can't be held accountable. We do know that roughly a third of those infected among children have died. That's a whole lot of unnecessary funerals.
Almost half of children who contract covid-19 may have lasting symptoms, which should factor into decisions on reopening schools, reports Helen Thomson

A SERIOUS picture is emerging about the long-term health effects of covid-19 in some children... However, it is becoming increasingly apparent that a large number of children with symptomatic and asymptomatic covid-19 are experiencing long-term effects, many months after the initial infection.

Long-term symptoms
Symptoms of long covid were first thought to include fatigue, muscle and joint pain, headache, insomnia, respiratory problems and heart palpitations. Now, support groups and researchers say there may be up to 100 other symptoms, including gastrointestinal problems, nausea, dizziness, seizures, hallucinations and testicular pain.

@Graylight by reports you mean rumors, right?
“We know 1/3 have died”
You can’t be serious . One third of what?
You would have to have numbers to make that claim unless this is just standard fear mongering.
The moms of those 1/3 would be on CNN 24/7 if it were true .
Orange must be paying them all off not too tell the truth and let the world know 😂😂😂

@AthrillatheHunt I have no stake in this. I own no stock, I no longer work in the medical field. Florida doesn't report accurately (3rd time), so of course there are no concrete data. That's by design. But see, when it's local you actually can attach names to cases and feel the effect on a community. Those aren't rumors. That's where I live.

I could not care less what your political leaning is on this, because it's an illusion.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Graylight wheres the crying moms ?
You’re as old as me. Why are you swallowing this? Where’s your critical thinking? Where’s the moms ?
They should be on TV 24/7.
True?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@AthrillatheHunt S.c.i.e.n.c.e. It can be found even completely independent of the CDC, even. That's what I follow.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Graylight you’re really not willing to think critically are you?
Where are the grieving moms?
They would be ratings GOLD for any network.
Where are they?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@AthrillatheHunt They're here. I don't have to believe or not believe because the reality is presented right in front of me. Believe as you like, but when choosing caution due to a once in a lifetime pandemic or making sure I get that first latte at Starbucks, I'm going to errr with caution. And should it come down to even a remote possibility a child's life could be diminished or lost because of thoughtless, stupid actions, that's a line I'm not willing to cross.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Graylight I totally hear you.
