Most of the new cases are from the delta variant. Unfortunately, the vaccines aren't as effective against the delta variant as they are against the original covid. The Pfizer vaccines are over 90% effective against the original covid, and over 60% effective against the delta variant. So even though I'm fully vaxxed, I have gone back to wearing a mask again whenever I go into a place of business, such as a restaurant or a supermarket.
